Restorative Silent Meditation Retreat

This one-day Winter Mindfulness Meditation Retreat will be held online.

Often in the busy rush of our lives, it can be hugely restorative to take time for ourselves and to practice “just being”. As we settle into the winter months, this 1-day Mindfulness Retreat is offered as an opportunity to create space to deepen your practice and restore both body and mind.

Asking ourselves the question “How can I best take care of myself?”

Meditation Retreats - Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

As a participant, you will be mostly in silence throughout the day. Meditation practices of 20 mins, 30 mins, or 45 mins in length will be guided by me and will include mindfulness meditations in stillness (sitting, standing, or laying down), mindful movement, and mindful walking.

There will be an opportunity to speak at the beginning of the day and again at the end.  You are also free to contact me during the breaks or at lunchtime regarding any issues that you may be experiencing.

OUTLINE SCHEDULE (all times are subject to adjustment on the day):

9 AM                 Orientation & Introductions

9.30 AM            Guided meditations

11 AM               Tea break

11.15 AM          Guided meditations

12.30 PM          Lunch break

1.15 PM            Guided meditations

2.30 PM            Break silence.  Reflections on the day

3 PM                 Retreat ends

PLEASE NOTE:  This Mindfulness meditation retreat is suitable for people who have some experience of Mindfulness meditation. To reserve a place please complete a RETREAT APPLICATION FORM  When I receive your form I will get back to you within 24 hours with payment details for confirmation of your place on the course.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • A good internet connection where you can participate in Zoom.
  • A room where you can shut the door and be relatively quiet and undisturbed
  • A straight-back chair, meditation cushion, or stool
  • A yoga mat or rug to lay on
  • Warm, loose clothing and any extra layers or blankets
  • Room to move for some simple Mindful Movement and stretching exercises
  • Room enough to walk for at least a few steps for Mindful Walking. (You do not need to be in the same room or on camera for the Mindful Walking – and you can go outside for this if you choose.)
