The MBSR course is run live online, over Zoom, with a 90 minute session each week for eight weeks (for 1:1 courses) or a 2 hour session each week (for 1:2 courses). This evidence-based Stress Reduction course is internationally recognised as the gold standard Mindfulness course for reducing stress and building stress resilience. It’s run in the same way as if you were in the room, with a combination of theory learning, discussion and practice, guided by your teacher.
Research shows that mindfulness can help you to become less stressed, happier and more focused. Working with an experienced Mindfulness teacher can help you to establish your own regular meditation practice and experience its life-enhancing benefits for yourself.
You will learn:
- The key principles of living mindfully
- Some core meditation techniques
- How to incorporate mindfulness into your daily life
- Ideas on how you can begin to develop your own practice.
What you get:
As well as the 8 live online sessions, you will also get:
- A course book
- 30 minute 1:1 orientation session
- Mindfulness exercises to practise between sessions
- Guided meditation recordings in MP3 format.
- FREE 45-minute meditation group drop-in sessions after the course finishes
You will be encouraged to share your experience of the meditations and what you noticed in each session. Although it isn’t compulsory, you will find it helpful to talk it through. The course provides a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your experience.
I encourage you to attend every session, so you get the most benefit from the course.

Home Practice
You will get most benefit from mindfulness by practising it daily. Ideally, be prepared to commit 30-45 minutes a day to practise, in between your weekly sessions. Please consider your ability to do this before signing up for the course.
To support your home practice, you will receive an extensive workbook, along with MP3 files of each week’s session. In between the sessions, please listen to the recordings, practise meditation and make notes about your experiences, to help you learn.
Eligibility
Before signing up to the MBSR course, please complete the pre-course application form via the button below. I will then contact you to arrange a 30-minute induction call on Zoom.
You must complete these steps before paying for the course, so that I can assess your suitability for meditation and mindfulness.
System Requirements
Because the MBSR course is delivered online, you will need a high-speed internet connection and access to a laptop or desktop computer with video conferencing capabilities: speakers, microphone and camera. Most modern computers come with these in-built.
Find a quiet space where you will not be disturbed and, ideally, sit on an upright chair such as a dining chair, or on a meditation cushion or stool. Make sure you have a little space around you for some gentle, mindful movement during each session.
